Wireless activation button will not open door on the 8310-865.

Common problems in new installation: Line of sight between transmitter and receiver OR programming the transmitter to the receiver. Fix line of sight by relocating transmitter, receiver or both. Fix programming issues by following programming procedures for the 8310-865.

Checklist:

1)  Confirm the wireless receiver is powered and the Common and N.O. output wires are connected properly to the operator's activation terminals. Check the programming of the wireless transmitter 9310-844 or similar to the 8310-865 Wireless Receiver. Follow programming instructions supplied by 8310-865. Click Here for instructions.

2)  The green antenna lead from the wireless receiver must be exposed through any metallic containment such as the operator's cover or metal door frame. The antenna should have a direct line of sight to the transmitter.

3) The transmitter must be positioned to provide a direct line of site from the activation switch to within 25' of the wireless receiver antenna. The transmitter should not be located in a metal box or required to send a signal through a metal box. Reposition receiver and/or transmitter for optimum reception.

4)  At times, other wireless devices such as WiFi or electical noise from other cabling may interfere with the receiver. Try to position the receiver for optimal reception.

Common problems in existing installations: Weak battery or damaged transmitter.

1) The battery for the transmitter must be strong. Extremes of weather as well as usage will effect battery life. A 9 volt battery transmitter will last longer than a 3 volt battery transmitter between battery changes. Recommend to use the 9 volt transmitter model for outside use.

2)  At times, other wireless devices such as WiFi or electical noise from other cabling may interfere with the receiver. Try to position the receiver for optimal reception.
