Why is my Von Duprin CX going into a weak alarm after the rearm delay?

Chexit devices shipped prior to 8-24-2015 with solenoid - the solenoid pulls and drops, the alarm sounds, there is a solid LED or no LED light after the rearm time could occur for the following reasons:

  1. Wrong power supply. Required Von Duprin PS873 or PS914 power supply.

  1. Wrong gauge wire or wire run greater than what is recommended.

a.       0-100 ft 14 gauge wire

b.      0-200 ft 12 gauge wire

  1. Wrong size fuse in the PS873 power supply. Required 4 amp slow blow fuse.

  1. If yellow and green wire going into the solenoid from Chexit module provides continuous 24VDC, it will cause an alarm with solid LED or no LED light. Replace the CX module.
