Why does the fuse blow in the power supply when arming the Von Duprin Chexit device?

The following could cause the fuse to blow in the power supply with devices shipped prior to 8-24-2015 with solenoid driven when Chexit device is arming.

  1. Wrong power supply Confirm PS873 or PS914 is being used with Chexit device.
  2.  Check the voltage out of green and yellow wires on CX module to the solenoid.  If the voltage is holding on Green to Yellow then the CX PCB is bad. The constant voltage on green and yellow will cause the fuse to blow in the power supply.
  3. If the coil of the solenoid between green and orange wires are shorted, it could cause the fuse to blow. The green and orange wire on the solenoid should read 105-140 ohm.
