Why am I losing enrolled users after connecting to Handnet Lite?

The HK-2 or FingerKey will lose its enrolled readers under the following conditions:

  - if you ‘cold boot’ or reset the reader to factory defaults

  - if you connect to Handnet Lite after you have ‘cold booted’ or reset the reader to factory defaults. Any users that were enrolled on the reader after the ‘cold boot’ or factory reset, will be erased from the HK-2, once the Handnet Lite connects to the reader AND if the user database on the Handnet Lite is empty (has no users).

If Handnet Lite had users in its database, then the users that were in the HK-2 or Fingerkey  before connection to Handnet Lite, will be replaced with the users that are in the database of Handnet Lite.

The way to solve this, is to power cycle (not cold boot) the reader, after doing a cold boot or factory reset, THEN connect the reader to Handnet Lite;

this will keep any existing, enrolled users in your HK-2 or Fingerkey, after connecting to Handnet Lite
