What does SGL mean on an Ives pull?

When ordering an Ives pull, there are 3 possible prefixes to start the description "Blank", PR, or SGL.

  • "Blank" or No Prefix is the most common selection and would get a single pull to be mounted on one side of the door (Ex. 8190HD-0 US26D O Mount).
  • PR is used to indicate a PAIR of pulls that will be mounted Back to Back and would then require indicating either the J, K, N, or P mount options based on the model of pull and the type of door being mounted to (Ex. PR8190HD-0 US26D N Mount).
  • SGL is used to indicate a SINGLE pull and requires that the mounting option being used is identified to determine how the pull is machined (Threaded or Bored w/ Set Screw).
SGL Examples
SGL8190HD-0 US26D with Standard, O, or F Mount would be threaded to receive the thru bolt
SGL8190HD-0 US26D with A, I, L, N, or P Mount would be machined to slip over the head of the mounting stud with a set screw to catch the head of the stud.

Reference the Mounting Option Descriptions in Section B of the Ives catalog for details on the different mounting options.
