What can I do if my biometric GT-400 isn't keeping the time?

First of all, measure the voltage of the coin battery, while still installed in its white plastic holder on the main board ( to find its location, please see lithium battery installation guide )

- locate the white plastic battery holder
        - locate the 2 metal sides on that white plastic holder; measure between these two metal holders, with the power to the GT-400 turned off, but with the 3V battery installed.

If you do not see any voltage (difference), remove the battery and check its voltage separately.

If the coin battery still has more than 3V, one of the metal holders (the one to the left, when looking at the picture on page 7 of the lithium battery installation guide, may be bent down or laying flat / horizontal on the bottom of the white plastic holder.) To fix this, bend up that metal holder that was laying flat (the one to the left) and re-install the battery, then check the voltage again.  You should see a 3V+ voltage.
