What are the different corner options for hollow metal frames?

There are a couple of different corner options available:

KD or Die Mitered:  This corner is provided as standard on frames with 1" , 1 1/2" and 2" face profiles at both the head and jambs. The corner is provide with the faces mitered and the stops butted. The miters includes 4 corner tabs designed with a concealed connection eliminating the need for welding prior to installation. The Die-mitered corner connection at the head and jamb insure an attractive, tight and closed mitered connection. The die-mitered corner is also available when a 4" face head is used with 2" face jambs.

Saw Mitered:  This optional corner condition can be provided when a continuous or full profile weld is required on frames. The faces and the stops are fully mitered. The corner does not include any type of tabs or slots and must be welded prior to installation.

Square/Notched or Butted:  This corner is provided when the face dimensions of the head and jambs are different (Ex: 2" face jambs and 1 1/2" face heads). There are 2 options for this corner condition: (A) Head square cut/notched for butting between the jambs or (B) Jambs square cut/notched and head set on top of jambs. This type of corner condition must be welded (SUA) prior to frame installation.
