“Invalid username or password” error when logging into my Schlage app account

Many customers who use the Schlage Home app use a Schlage account to control and manage access to their locks.  With your Schlage account, you can also set up other smart home assistants like Amazon Alexa to control your smart lock.

 The “Invalid username or password” error may appear when invalid information is entered or when no account exists with that email address.

 From any screen after the Schlage app Sign In screen:

Tap the menu button (top left) > My Account.  This is the email address for your Schlage account.

 If you do not see “My Account”, you are not logged in and may not have account.  Tap “Sign In” and follow the instructions below.

 From the Schlage app Sign In screen:

If you do not remember your password, tap Forgot Password and provide your email address.  If you do not receive an email within a few minutes, please check your spam folder. If you do not receive the email, you may not have an account with that email address.  Go back and choose “Sign Up” and the follow the instructions.
