How do you check an ME or SE solenoid?

To check an ME or SE solenoid

  1. Unplug the solenoid from the circuit board.
  2. Measure resistance across the 2 pin of the solenoid connector.

The solenoid resistance should read:

  • 24 volt solenoid -- 300 - 400 ohms.
  • 120 volt solenoid --3000 - 4000 ohms.
