How do I cut a door to accept a Falcon W series lock?

For W lock levers, you can choose whether or not to install the mounting posts.  This will also affect how the door is prepped so be sure to determine how you will install the locks before cutting the door.

Typical installation for W levers with mounting posts require two 5/16" mounting holes in addition to the 2-1/8" bore (shown in Image 1).  If you choose not to install the mounting posts or have W Knobs, do not prep these holes.

When ordering small rose for the W lock lever (SR), the mounting holes should NOT be cut.  The only modification to the prep is the addition of two anchor notches to sides of the bore.  These give the lock better stability and are shown in Figure 2.
