Do I need the XN12-012 spacer to install an ND lock on a 1 3/8" door?

The ND lock can be installed on a 1 3/8" thick door by utilizing spacers, part number XN12-012.  These spacers are included with the lock when ordered for a 1 3/8" thick door.  The spacers can be ordered separately and installed on any ND lock.

Spacer details:

  • Two spacers are required to install an ND lock on a 1 3/8" door.
  • The spacers are 0.180" thick.
  • Finished to match the lock color.
  • Spacers are installed between the spring cage and door skin.

If used on 1-1/2" door see below:

  • Order lock for an 1-3/8" door, this will include 2- each of the XN12-012 spacers
  • Use one on each side of door
  • Set chassis to 1-3/4" door then rotate door thickness adjustment plate a full turn CCW (sets it to 1-7/8" door).
  • PUSH BUTTON FUNCTIONS- can remain set at 1-3/4' door- if it is felt that push button recesses to far in the button can be set at bottom notch. 
  • The 1" face plate on the latch is recommended.
