Did the W501 lock operation change?

Changes to the Falcon W501 latch offering were made on 2/13/2012.

Prior to 2/13/2012: The W501 entry lock was supplied with a restoring latch which causes the button to pop and unlock the outside lever when the door is shut.

Post 2/13/2012: The W501 began shipping with a non-restoring latch. This will allow the customer to depress the inside button and shut the door without the outside lever unlocking.

New W501 Entry Lock Description:

Follows ANSI F82 function description.  The W501 offers push button locking.  The button on the inside locks the outside lever until unlocked by key or by rotating inside lever.  The inside lever always free.  The 501 offers a deadlocking latch bolt.
