CTE RTC

 1. The CTE Real Time Clock (RTC) will stay accurate for 3 days to 10 days depending on temperature. (You get longer RTC hold-up in cold temperatures) Expect almost seven days for CTE RTC holdup at room temperature.

 2. Any Bluetooth connection with the Mobile APP or Wi-Fi connection will set the RTC correctly to the present correct time if it is needed. PS, connection with the ENGAGE mobile app requires a data service or Wi-Fi service. The RTC is set with ENGAGE commissioning and checked each time there is a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection.

3. The RTC default time and date is 1/1/2000 12:00:00 AM when not set at power up.  This is not a firmware or database value, this is a clock/date value from the hardware chip that controls time & date. After power up the unset clock starts running, still in the year 2000 and counting up from 1/1/2000 12:00 AM. Therefore if power is lost for a long time, per #1 above, the power up after a brown out will result in a RTC starting 01/01/2000 @12:00 AM, until it gets set with a wireless connection.

 4. For credential/user access when the RTC is 1/1/2000; edit the credential/user activation to 1/1/2000 exactly when defining a user. Activation dates older than 1/1/2000 will not work. After this edit insure the door file in the CTE is updated.
