Can you add double cylinder to an existing 99 rim device?
The 98/99 rim device can be converted to double cylinder 98-2 or 99-2.
Double cylinder features an inside key cylinder which locks or unlocks the outside trim (Classroom Function) and an outside cylinder which retracts the latch bolt only (Night Latch Function) when outside trim is locked.
98/99-2 conversion kit for RHR door is 050388-Finish and 050389-Finish for LHR door.
These kits includes center case, center case cover and cylinder mounting hardware.

To rehand a 98-2 or 99-2 you need a new handed center case and new handed center case cover.
Double cylinder can't be used on a 98/99-EO device. It requires a Classroom trim.
98-2 or 99-2 requires two rim cylinders one for device side and one for trim side.
